Hey, im new here, and have a few questions reguarding different notebook for college.
I am going to be buying in about 1-2 months. I have been looking at different models, but each one seems to have some sort of turn off.
I am really interested in the 8204, but all these screen problems concerns me. I have sent an email at acer, and they replied saying they have no knowledge of problems with the 8200 series. I saw that very few people got a QD screen instead of the samsung one, and was a much better solution.
Another laptop i was looking at was the alienware m5500 with a 2.0 cpu, 2gb ram, and a x1600. This seems like a nice laptop, however i do prefer the dual core from the acer as i will be doing lots of multitasking while at college.
I have also been looking at a few sonys (FS and FE series) but they dont offer very good gfx cards. I like to game occationally but a better gfx does result in less battery life.
I would appreciate any input from you guys on what you would suggest.
I want a 15.4" screen that is of good quality, that is important for me.
Thanks,
William
