Check Cnet/Zdnet, the sites claim that both models will be released tonight and formally announced on Wednesday.

Finally

Speculated prices seem nice for new notebooks:

Dell declined to comment on unannounced products. The D620 will start at $1,149, while the D820 starts at $1,289, sources said.

Overpriced. I guess that's why they are business and not consumer machines.

Stay up or order in the morning?

I bet they won't be up until midnight EST; I hope it isn't that late.

I'm excited to see what coupons are available, too!

heck yes, coupons, nice ones, oh by the way when will they come out?

I was given the option to order D620's last Thursday. I ordered one (don't need stock systems, but I need one to build a new image with) and it should be in my hands early next week. Given that we are a relatively small company (2,100 associates), I'm sure that much bigger "fish" received the same offer and I would expect to see a few people reporting in as they receive their orders. If I recall correctly, it was 1GB ram, 7200RPM HD, BT, DVD burner, etc. in the $1,350 range.

Well, Dell just posted the certification material to the DCSE site for the 620 and 820, and let's just say CNet might be off by a couple days. Judging by what I'm seeing on the 620, it's pretty freaking awesome. Wish I could be more specific, but I REALLY don't feel like putting my job in jeopardy.

Really, should we not expect an announcement today (3/29)?

Looks like the information has already started to get out there:

Thanks for the link amallah. I'm a bit more interested in the D620 for portability.

Nice upgrades

I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't go with a more "gamer" oriented upgrade card on the D620, but surely whatever the Quadro NVS 110M does is better than a Radeon M9 on my D600 ~ the review of the D820 had the Quadro 120 just a bit under an X1400 for it's 3DMark05 score.

The latitudes are still a "business" machine and it's probably so far there gonna allow that line to compete with the consumer end.

Will a "maxed-out" D620 be compliant with Vista standards?
