i6000 defective screen replaced by Dell with worse screen?

My wsxga was defective (stopped displaying at a reasonable brightness) so dell took it back and replaced the lcd.

However, I think the replacement seems to have worse viewing angle and more light leakage.

Anyone know how to identify the new lcd maker, specs, or anything that would support my feeling that I have received a lower quality lcd replacement.

My original invoice (if accurate) indicated it was a samsung lcd which I have read to be the worst one .... The old lcd lasted for about 1 yr.

Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Contact support again and tell them that the replacement LCD is worse than the original, they'll send you another one. You'll just have to keep sending them back until you get a decent one. It sucks, but it's really the only way. Unless you have complete care and get a tech to come out and let you try a couple of different screens(which I'm not sure they'd do unless the tech was really cool). Keep trying though, I got a LG refurb on my first try and it's absolutely perfect.

It's really a shot in the dark with replacement lcds. Most replacements will be new (even if labeled as refurb) but the quality differs from one to the next. My 600m's lcd started to develop terrible light leakage on the bottom after one year (or maybe it was after I dropped it ). Dell sent me a nice nice lcd replacement (sharp) with 0 leakage but it had scattered dead pixels. I take my 0 dead pixel Samsung leaker than a dead pixel anyday.
