Rebates

I just wanted to say that I just got off the horn with markos( I think that's spelled right). Alienware approved my rebates. I am very happy. still got to wait for the check/s. I hope It doesn't take long. Markos was very helpful and nice. I'd say he's a good employee AW. So nelson you better take care of him.
Shazza, thanks for reminding me about the rebate they owe me 349 bucks.

I haven't recieved anything and mailed in early December.... should I call to check or do they send an email or what?

Hello!

When I purchased an Alienware Aurora about a year ago, the fine print on the rebate forms said that I should allow twelve to twenty-four weeks for payment. Fortunately, both rebates ($400 because it was an AMD-based system, plus $100 to cover the cost of shipping) arrived long before the twenty-four weeks were up.

How long do your rebate forms state that you should wait for payment?

They said the same amount of time, and I'm a week or two away from the end of 4 months (around 18 weeks actually). I know I got $99 back on shipping and $200 mail in rebate. Maybe I'll call and ask them about it.

yeah I'd call them. that's what I did. thier rebate checker on thier site wouldn't work for me. it'll still be a little while before I actually get a check. I'm just happy to know that I will get it and didn't have to go through any B.S.. markos was probably one of the best AW reps I've talked to yet. it's nice to have someone that actually likes thier job on the other end of the phone.

Got mine this week and Easter will be 4 months since arrival. So it seems like 4 months is the right amount of time to expect.

shame on me ..... i am not very good at pursuing rebates .... combination of lazy and forgetfulness i suppose .... good on everone in going after them -- and getting them ......... i am a bigger fan of instant rebates .... takes less work and energy to enjoy the benefit !!! wonder how many rebates are not actually cashed in ??? hmmmmmm //

Glad you got your rebate, 'slime! Your post reminded me to verify that AW received mine in time and that it is being processed. According to the website, I am "approved" and imagine I will have it in a few months. The time delay is crazy, but can't say I wasn't aware of it, as many people have posted about it here. I made it by the skin of my teeth - due to travel and the website to get the rebate forms seemed to be down everytime I was in a position to print it out. But - all is well, and I'll be getting an unexpected $299 whenever it does show up.

Took mine 4 months almost to the day. Actually had forgot about it and was pleasantly surprised when it popped up in the Post.

I ordered by notebook the end of December, 2005. It's now June 2006 and I still don't have my rebate. I called last month and I was told that the rebate process takes 12-26 weeks. 6 months for them to write a check???

Talking about rebate checks. I just received mine today from a computer that I purchased back in February. It was great because I forgot that I had a check coming. It was like Christmas. Now I can afford the 7500 desktop.

Yeah, it can take a while. Ordered my computer in January, just got the rebates after some minor drama-seems they tried to send them in June to the wrong address, and failed to email that the envelope was returned to them. I called a couple of weeks ago to check up on the status, and we straightened up the problem, had money in pocket about a week later.
