Dear Friends,

It's nice to have an expert like you among us. I have new HP-Compaq Nx6110 Business notebook....with 1.73GHz Centrino, 60GB HDD, 512MB RAM. (bought 4 months ago)

Out of my 35 GB, 23GB is filled by Movies/videos. So These days I m experiencing it a bit slow....what do u advice for it.

1. Shd I delete all the movies ?
2. Shd I add an additional 1GB RAM ?
3. Shd I sell this & buy new Notebook for dual processor ?

Pls advice....thanks in Advance.

those things wont help ur performance... basically the system is bogged down by the hard drive. i say get an external hard drive and toss all that stuff there. I got one just like like this one from tigerdirect.com
defrag ur system after you move over all ur files and then you should be good to go.

What you save on the hard disk majorly do very little in slowing your notebook speed, You need to uninstall some programs installed on your laptop which may not be very necessary, defragment your local disk C and if this still doesnt help you, then you can increase the memory capacity.
