Well? Any info at all? Will Sager have it? BTW, the Clevo website has been down a week...perhaps they are overhauling their entire site in anticipation of the release of the M375E.

This is the first I've heard of this particular model. What kind of specs are we talking about?

Basically it is like the Sager 3750, except it has:
Dothan processor up to 2.0GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon Pro 64/128MB
333MHz DDRAM
15.4inch WSXGA+/WUXGA
and a bunch other stuff.

Oh. Sounds decent, but I wouldn't buy one.

SOme people wish to carry their notebooks around fairly frequently, and are willing to sacrifice some power for it. I am one of those people.

For those needs, it sounds perfect. But I demand something that can perform on par with my desktops (dual Athlon 2500s, 2.4-2.6GHz 1800, depending on what I'm doing with it), or at least as close as possible. And, until they release some decent AMD-based notebooks, that means I'm stuck with the P4. A 3GHz+ P4 is still a bit faster than a 2GHz Dothan will be, I believe.

A 3Ghz P4 will definitely be slower than the Dothan. Prescotts with above 3.4Ghz speeds will surpass the Dothan, b/c they are the same generation.

What is the Dothan?
Who makes it?
The Dothan is a Pentium-M with 2MB of L2 cache, correct?

I tend to doubt it'll be able to keep up with say, a 3.2GHz P4. Why? Because the Pentium-M is still about on par with an Athlon of the same clockspeed, and a 2GHz AXP isn't as fast as a 3.2 P4.

I may be wrong, though. We'll have to see.

Yeah me too, I'm temporarily using a Compaq X1000 which is a Centrino and man, I can't explain how awesome it is to be out and about and using the laptop for 3.5 hours without a power outlet. The two things that suck about it are the low res screen and the ati 9200, which absolutely blows. A Centrino with an ATI 9700 would be my dream machine....well until the next new GPU comes out.

The Eurocom website, under "Future Models", shows a ship date of February 7, 2004 for the M375E. They have their configuration and pricing page working for this model now as well. The price sure adds up in a hurry! I am surprised that we haven't heard anything from Sager about the M375E yet. Februrary 7th is not far off.

haha more like march 5th now!
but it's now become available on Eurocom's website

Eurocom officially claims that it's shipping. It has moved from Futures section to the Products section.
