Acer Aspire 5672 WLMI

Thread Starter
I'm buying a notebook next week.I was planning to buy the 5672 but it seems the X1400 isn't that great as I think it is.
All I want to do on that notebook is to play CS:S and Warcraft 3.

Also which GRX card is better for CS:S?
ATI X1400?
NV 7400 go?
ATI X700?

PLZ Help....

x700 owns all...

for speed the x700 is more like the x1600 if you can stretch to an x1600 machine you will get the newer technology
There is an ASUS machine out there for about the same price as an acer5672

also there is a cheaper acer with only 1 gig ram, its the ACER 5652wlmi and has a geforce 7600 onboard which is also very quick
especially since its the next gen up from the 6600 (which I used to play HL2 on )

Halfe life runs great on the x1400 but soon slows down when HDR lighting is enabled.

Anyone knows where I could get the 5672 in So-Cal, except at CompUSA (it's apparently sold out there!)?
Unless someone knows if they're getting more units soon?
I'll be there in a week and I REALLY wanna get it!
Thanks

I suggest you use www.pricegrabber.com to compare the best price.

BTW: If you don't care about price, then www.newegg.com is a site to trust.

I Have It!!!
I finally ordered it through PC Connection while I was in California!
I love it so far, I don't even think I'm gonna re-install XP because it came with Pro SP2.
I already cleaned up Win XP start-up and I'll install my softwares and get rid of the crap that comes with it (*cough*Norton*cough*)
The battery lasts about 3 hours as expected so no surprise there.
Speaking of the battery, I've read the whole manual and it doesn't say anything about the first charges. Any advice? Thanks!

The ASUS machine is the A6j series they have x1600 machines with similar spec to the acer 5672 except only with 1gig of ram
