Opinions on a 9750 Replacement?????

Does anyone have any opinions re the possibility later this yr, before Dec of a possible 9750 improvement or replacement??
Specifically I am thinking of an AMD FX 62 or X2 series CPU in the new 940 pin AM2 socket in a chassis that supports 2 HDD and 2 optical drives as well as of course a newer GPU, maybe a 7900GTX GPU.
I am not interested in a 19" SLI machine but a very high end 17" machine like the 9750.
I am wondering if Clevo will come out with a new chassis or use the existing D900 case. I haven't seen any indications of anything anywhere on the net,.....yet.

We can expect the D900 case to be used several more years. Of course there will be mobo upgrades. But as usual I wouldn´t expect new technology too early in notebooks. New AM2 socket isn´t even out for Desktop yet..... there seems to be another upgrade soon for 939 (X2 +5000) and as the new socket seems to have absolutely now advantage to the "old" one, AMD will deliver even more upgrades to 939 I guess. I mean, they want to sell their CPUs, few people will upgrade if performance doesn´t increase significantly, it´s very easy to produce 939 chips.... And do not forget the opterons !!! Ah, and we have a strong competition now, AMD has to be flexible if it wants to have solid sells.

So this year I´m absolutely sure we won´t see AM2 in any DTR, maybe, just maybe 2007, I personally guess last quarter 2007.

7900GTX will be available soon for our DTRs and I´m sure G80 end of this year also.

I'll wait for the G80 before considering an upgrade...the 7900 is nice but its not mind blowing better than the 7800gtx, imho.

Once DDR800 memory is available, you will see a benefit with the AM2. One of the largest changes however, will infact benefit DTR users and that is the new 940 chip will have lower power consumption than the 939 and run cooler.
