9750 FX-60 Overclocked,....Anyone????

Thread Starter
Has anyone overclocked the FX-60 in a 9750???
Does the Bios allow this or is there a program to use to do so???
Several PC websites have said it is easily OC to 2.8Ghz or higher with no increase in voltage required esp to step up to 2.8Ghz.
Any responses would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

I read the same thing as you Aussie, I will be getting the same CPU here soon, so It looks like I will have to do some searching. I will let you know If I find anything.

Wow, three replies from three people making their first post.

Anyway, there is no way to do it in the bios, but there may be a software based solution that could let you overclock it in your OS. You will definitely be running the risk of potentially overheating your machine, and this is of course assuming the power supply can handle the overclock. I really don't see a point though. If this is for gaming purposes, the limiting factor is the video card, not the CPU.

imho - why bother, the notebook form factor is not the best to dissippate the heat since its got its handsfull with the stock clocks. in the desktop, hell yeah as you can add the funky coolers but in a notebook, its a much bigger risk...

ON my 9750 it's not the FX-60 that gets warm, just the GPU. There may be room to fiddle with it.
