MSI G+bluetooth miniPCI card WPA problem

This is driving me nuts. I can't seem to get WPA going with this damn MSI card. The drivers for the card are ancient, and MSI isn't offering any new one. I found a link for updated drivers on a third party webstie, but the link was dead.

My PDA can access my routers WPA, so can my Centrino computer. I've tried 4 different firmwares for my router (linksys wrt54g), inlcuding various flavors of sveasoft and the latest official firmware. When I try to connect it locks up at trying to get an IP address. It works fine with WEP, but chokes on WPA.

Anyone have a solution or know where to get new drivers? I'm assuming since the stock drivers date back to 2004 that is where the problem is, but if anyone has a solution I;d love to hear it.

Oh well, I got it working. It's not the way I wanted it to be handled, but oh well.

I installed the MSI lan management utility, and then disabled the windows management for the connection and it seems to be working now. Well, at least I got WPA working.

Well I spoke to soon. Neither the original Inprocomm or Windows management software can actually connect, and the MSI management utility can connect but, CONTINUOUSLY DROPS the connection. Has anyone been able to get WPA working consistently with this card?

I'm having the same problem with the MSI wi-fi module in my Sager 9750. And I have the same router you have. The last thing I tried was to re-set the parameters on my router (new SSID, password, etc.), but haven't had a chance to get back to the notebook since doing that reset. On the notebook I will disengage the Windows wireless utilities and try from the MSI utility only. Also, I read something somewhere that led me to think that downloading the latest Ralink drivers will work. I've done that, but haven't tried making the connection with them sense re-setting the router.

Check and see if there is an updated firmware for your router.
