How can you find what components you have?

Is there a way to tell what hardware you have in your Sentia? (Or any other for that matter).

I have an old (but lovely) green sentia notebook. About a year ago it went back for repair and it took ages because they didn't do the same motherboard so couldn't get the same as I had. When I did get it back I was told everything was installed (drivers etc.) but wasn't provided with them. The device manager just reports according to the installed driver.

I've had to reinstall everything and, of course, I'm lost driver wise. I called t/support but they had no clue what is in my machine. I don't blame them. It seems ok, I have tried random drivers and sound, wireless card etc. works. However, the video card is "ok" but not as it should be.

Is there a website that scans your machine and is able to tell you what you have so I can get the correct drivers?

H there.

I had some joy in finding names by using this
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Scans the pc, and tells you whats what.

Cheers

yes, it did in the first place... but not when they replaced the motherboard. I'm in the UK and they had to get a mobo from the Miami factory. Either way it just arrived working.
