I sold it a while back, once I got the sager back.
I am now just waiting a while to see about the next generation 9750's ... perhaps a 7900gtx

Yay, Smooth-Creations has put up some of their new works of art!
They have put up the Sager contest notebook as well as my notebook!
Their paintjobs are so addicting.... I am already coming up with ideas for when I get my next notebook or desktop

K!tty,

Your lappy looks bad a$$, I like it allot.

I have contacted smooth creations and they are going to do my 5720 in the very near future.

I have an insane design that I am working on involving Albert Einstein, Candy Apple Green Metallic/Heat-Sensitive Chameleon and some other cool details I cannot reveal just yet.

Looks sharp,

Kudos!

PS,

My Wife's niece is from Koby Japan...

YEah. They are pretty cool with showing off their work. I am amazed at how well it looks - but not surprised because I have been getting the normal paintjobs (without graphics) for the last two systems.

I did just get back my CX7. I had the lid down with the colorshifting purple/blue and then in the middle, had them do the chinese calligraphy for the Rat - but in a way to match the silver tone of the remainder of the notebook. Got some shots up, but not all yet. It turned out nice and the metallic flakes in both the purple/blue and then the silver looks great as well.

Anyone looking to get a customized painted rig - definitely give smooth a chance to give you a quote. If you go their way - you will definitely be amazed.

Thanks a lot! going on 4 weeks now lol
It has been a blast... I was with my husband for almost 3 years before we got married.
Marriage is wonderful though. So many changes for me coming up. I will be finally moving to Japan at the end of July!

nice paint kitty between you DB and ratmyr's rigs i'm definantly going to be sending in my next pc to smooth creations for some custome work. btw do you need to dissemble the laptop and just send in the case or do they do the work for you?
That is one gorgeous paint job. My questions are: How long did it take? Did you ship your laptop? Did they have any kind of guarantee if it was damaged? Thanks!

coldsun, i would pm her. It would be faster and you'd get a response alot faster

That artwork is so tight k1tty. Someone will be lucky to own it. Why is it for sale?

Also, if you don't mind me askin, why are you moving to Japan? Just curious since I am half-Japanese.

You send in the entire laptop to them. I shipped mine with ups insured for the whole amount that the notebook would cost to replace. SC ships it back the same way for you. I believe it in total took about 3 weeks. Any damage was guaranteed by them.. or if during shipping through ups.
I was very happy with their work, and if it were possible I would ship in my sff case for them to do.
Well, maybe some time in the future.
I am officially moving to Japan on July 24th.

Anyways,
send em an email if you are interested.
They are very nice people.

Looking back, I see Vista, that the beta or a theme?

it is just a theme. I tried the last beta and it was just no good.
Hopefully it will be nice for the release candidate.

You'll have to drop me a line once you get settled in Japan. I've got a friend in Nagoya that I've been meaning to visit for ages, so never know when I'll be in your neighborhood.

Which company you going to work for?

I've got a Vista thing (not quite a "theme") installed on my 8790, but it makes video flicker and the Explorer setup is annoying, so I'm thinking of nuking it. Which Beta did you try? I've got Beta 2 that I was going to put on my desktop, but haven't done it (usual- no time).

Your going to put Vista on your hurting 8790? You MUST want it to burst into flames..

No, not Vista, but a Vista thing. Makes it look like Vista Gonna take it off soon, tho'. Video gets all jittery. Me no likes that.

Think this is it: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...ion-Pack.shtml

This isn't the original page that I got it from (got it from the creator's page), but good enough. I'm at work, so don't have the link handy.
