this is the 5th time that I canceled my order. because I placed another today.

I got the email 40% off, bought a 35 off 300, and called dell.
they offered me 50 MIR if I pay by DPA, I took that.

so I paid $921.35 after tax with 50 MIR for the system like this:

T2400/SXGA/60G/DVDRW/1GB/X1400/Intel Pro Wireless/1 Yr Warranty....

ship date April 14, as they told me.

Is this a good price?

Looks fine to me.

It looks pretty good to me. Wish I have one of those 40% off coupons.

Anyway, in case you guys don't know, Dell is having a 10 day specials starting tomorrow (Mar 31). Dell is saying that for each day, they will have some specials..... wonder what they are??? Hopefully, there's some kind of shocker deals (similar to the $750 off $1499 they had last year).

Am I gonna cancle my order again??

I have no idea if you'll need to cancel your order again because I do not know what they will be offering... But the price you're paying for those specs that you have configured looks a very good deal to me!

u might just have too, lol. well i hope they have a insane deal on the notebooks, dont really care if i dont get the 7800go now, but will probably get it later, are the x1400 that bad of a GPU? and how much are the 7800go if i ordered them through Dell in May?
It may be as high as $299 for the upgrade from the Intel GMA. That price was when it 1st came out but then they did have them for $249 & also $199 at different times before it was pulled off the web site...

What's more important to you: getting a great notebook for a great price NOW or getting a good, but increasingly outdated, notebook LATER by playing the "lowest possible price" game too long?

this is my problem.

I was pretty happy with the order I placed few days ago, but when I saw this 40% off deal, I still can't help jumping right into it....

actually I am using my friend's laptop for work and kinda need one of my own QUICK.

if only dell would get the 7800s back in the Inspirons instead of these dumb x1400s

Historically, 50% off is about the best you'll see out of Dell, and I believe the last time that happened it lasted all of 48 mins for 10,000 uses! Your 40% coupon + 35 off 300 + 50 MIR comes close to, or gets you to, 50% off. A bird in the hand ....

Yeah, I agree that the only thing that would beat your deal would be the $750 off $1500, and that's a rare bird. I didn't mind canceling my order and using the 40% off coupon because it didn't change my ship date at all. I knew they were waiting on the video cards, so there was nothing to lose.

im waiting for the 7800/7900 also in the 9400. no real rush for me.

i was one of the 750 off 1500 buyers (:

if i had the money at the time, i woulda bought 2-3 laptops and sold em.

And I'm waiting for (pray & hope Dell will ever release one again) the $750 off $1500 coupons!!!

I got my old 700m with 750 off. I sold it on ebay. That's a wonderful memory.

Thanks for the reply. I feel better.
