Options?

I am unsure of how to get it out. I am such a moron.

yeah I hate those cheapo screws. What size screwdriver were you using?

Not sure how to get it out, I'm sure it's very tricky and delicate. I would just have Dell come out and fix it for you.

wow....could we get some pics ? -- we'd be able to help you better.

But if you can fit a needle-nose plier in there, then use taht to turn the screw.

There are special tools available for such situations. Happens when you tinker with cars all the time too. Go check your local Sears or other hardware stores.

If its not stripped too badly, you could try and put a really small amount of some metal bonding glue, the strong stuff that comes in two different tubes that you mix-forget the name-into the top of the screw(assuming its a philips head) then position the correct driver in and put some pressure on it for a few hours.
It might stick enough to start unthreading it.

Worked for us before at work on a small screw on an Andover BMS/Hvac net controller, it loosened the screw enough to catch it with a small pliers before the glue came unstuck.
