Actually, alot of dell owners talking about the merger in dell forums have been getting booted of notebookforums by moderators who are sympathetic to alienware fanaticism.
Personally, a computer is a computer is a computer, yet it seems that alienware owners, apple owners and perhaps a few other boutique models are extremely fanatical about their systems as though it were an extension of who they are.
Now that Dell owns Alienware perhaps some of this senseless banter and arugment between alienware users and dell users can go away and we can all find something else to fight about like the old stand bys.......politics and religion.



I dont see this merger as a big change for either dell OR alienware, the alienware products will go on as they are and dell can sell AMD products without alienating their bedfellow INTEL. Inspirons will not be painted orange and alienwares products will not say XPS, life will go on as it always has though perhaps a bit more peacefully.

General rule of thumb: avoid someone with only a handful of posts to their name

What he is saying is true to a point. When you spend this kind of money on anything, be it a computer or exotic car, you are going to be a bit protective of it. It's the same thing as a ricer pulling up next to your TVR Tuscan and talking shit on you.

Sagaris...f*cking HELL-on-wheels...it's LOUD and it'll kill you if you look at it wrong...It has ABS and Traction-Control, the simplest simple mechanism that's amazing.

ABS = Measured application Your left foot
Traction Control = Measured application of Your right foot

I don't think that computer boutique customers are fanatical about their computers, but I do think that it can be an expression of one's personality.and by the way, we treat you as a troll 1. for the fact that you came from Dell. 2. for the fact that you only have 8 posts and decided to come from Dell into the AW community to post. and lastly 3. if you have been reading the last 5 pages of this thread, you would have seen that the conversation wasn't at all directly about the Dell AW merger, everything was fine and dandy until you came and posted and poured salt on the wounds. but if you're not here to troll, I apologize, but the fact is 99% of the time someone posts something like what you just did, is indeed a troll. you either came to indirectly bash AW, or defend Dell. and do NOT take this as me being fanatical about AW, I don't even own one yet, I came to these forums because I am on the brink of buying one and needed assistence. most of the people here are not fanatical, you haven't been here long enough to make a judgement like that.
