I have noticed that there is a lot of electricty running through my case. I would be sitting there playing a game or just touching the metal portion aound the case and I would get a shock. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and could this give me problems down the road?

All it takes is the for the third prong off the outlet to go to ground.
Basically if you took a piece of reed bar and ran it about 4-6 feet into the ground and then had a copper wire (insulated 16 guage or larger ,12 10 etc) run from the circuit breaker box to the reed bar. Hopfully your wiring is correct in the house other wise, run the ground from your outlet in the room your computer is in to the reed bar. I am in egypt and this is a common problem with older houses over seas.
If you receive shocks from other appliances when your bare feet touch the floor and touch bare metal on say the microwave, washer etc and you feel the tingle, your house is probably not wired for ground correctly.
Now, if you are using a power cord to convert your 3 prong american plug or a three prong european plug to a two prong plug, your are definitely floating the ground.

Sorry for not English, but I guess he would have problems to understand otherwise since this is a special topic.... Told him he should try to get ground by using other clothes.... in Germany I don´t think many houses have such problems.... but maybe I´m wrong ???
