Dell Media Direct.

Hi all,

I hear on the new 9400/e1705 you can actually play moview and music without loading windows. I chatted with dell support and they say that it is not possible on either (the 9300 or 9400/e1705). If it is possible on the 9400's has anyone figured out how to do it on the 9300? (note: I would have searched, but the search function is broken and i don't have time to go through every thread )

Thanx in advance for any help.

There's a button beside the power button.
Looks just like it, should say "Media Direct", or something like that.

ok, so on the 9400's there is a separate button. I guess this means you can't do it on the 9300? (I only have a power button up there, but pressing 'play' starts up dell media direct which opens windows, which I hate)

you can use it on your XPS gen 2 if you download the latest version of media direct. just press the play button from any state and media direct will load.

Yes I understand that, but on the new 9400/e1705, if the power is off it loads it without loading windows . My 9300 loads Dell Media Experience, but it starts windows first I want to know if it is possible to not load windows first with the 9300
