DELL Return Policy......

Guys, I did a search and can't find my answer, but what is DELL's return policy regarding returning a 9400...... actually I haven't received it yet, but according to their site it will be delivered Tuesday, so I don't plan on even opening it.

Can I just "refuse" delivery from the UPS man and recieve full credit from DELL?

Yes: that's what you should do BUT be warned the Dell guy on the phone told me it can take up to 6 months to receive credit that way if you had it customized. I don't believe it and would be on the horn with American Express if I hadn't got a refund after 2 weeks - after all you never accepted the merchandise thus the order was not completed. I refused delivery on my first 9300 and got the credit back in 7 days.....I had a case of buyers remorse after it shipped (outlet purchase) and one Dell rep said to refuse delivery while the other told me the story about the 6 months....blah blah.

richfish13...
I appreciate that website which I also perused over, but it really didn't tell me anything about credit and costs AFTER refusing delivery from UPS.

moman, you had the info I was asking about and I appreciate that!
After ordering the 9400 I realized that I needed more than the "Graphics Media Accelerator 950 GM" AND I could get the upgrade with a better price if I went to the 1705 with a discount of $750.00 at $1999.00 or over...... that is the current discount, correct?

I'm new here, as you can see, so I appreciate the input from both of you!
THANKS!

moman....
just got off the phone with DELL "Returns" phone number... young lady told me to accept the 9400 from UPS tomorrow and since I was upgrading (to get the $750.00 off for $1999.00) that they will have UPS pickup the 9400 and ship it back (free) with the return authorization she gave me!

She did entice me to keep the 9400 with an additionsl $80.00, but I told her that wasn't "tasty" enough!

The way I figure, I can get the 1705 with 3 year warranty and graphics card upgrade and wifi card upgrade plus "office works" and FREE 1GB hard drive for just about the same price as the 9400 using the $750.00 off...
OOOOOOOHHH... LIFE IS GOOD!
