Hey do people have this game? Im playing it with my dell 9300 with the 6800go... and my CONSOLE DOESNT COME UP!!! I just press ~ during gameplay right? i tried pressing it with caps, scoll, num locks on and off... i bought another keyboard to connect to my lappy, i modified the ini file, i downloaded drivers for my keyboard, did the -dev and devuser target thing... can anyone help? NO console, nothing on the bottom left of the screen, the screen doesnt darken, theres no where to type, the game continues to play like i didnt press anything.

I tried assigning the ~ as a keyboard command, and it doesnt come up at ~, it shows up as 148 instead of ~.

can anyone help?

i guess technically you have to press " ` ".. Make sure you're not holding shift when you press it.. Not sure if it matters, but if you've been holding shift when you press it, dont.. i remember having a problem with the Sims 2 (haha addictive very very addictive, but I'm through with it.. been clean from Sims 2 for 3 months now!) accessing the cheat menu.. I had the key combination set as a hotkey for somethign in windows (i think it ran Civ4) so it confused windows and didn't open the cheat console..

for the 148 thing, I'm guessing the integer value of "~" is 148 in that ASCII business.. It'd be a lot of work and probably wouldn't help, but maybe there's a corrrupt file somewhere in your install giving you issues.. you could always try a fresh install of the game if you want to go through all of that.

It just makes an underscore. I don't even think the screen darkens. Try the tilde again, then type in TGM, and press Enter, see what happens.

Sometimes the underscore is hard to see.

Nothing comes up when i press ` i tried pressing ` with the shift on and off. i tried just blindly pressing ` and then entering a console command and then enter, it just does whatever key i pressed.

Do people have 9300's and this happens to them as well?

shouldnt the ` symbol come up when you assign a key command to it? why does it come up 148?

weird, i have the game running on a 9300 as well but my '`' key brings up the console fine. I ahve been using it to with 'tdt' command to see the fps in-game. I have not used the '~' key though.

Exactly the same problem here, did you resolve the issue in the end?
