I just installed a new 7800 gtx. Overclocked it to 460/1300. Everything running stable, no crashes no artifacts(ATI Tool). AS5 installed and no real heating issues. But for soem reason I can't even break 6000 in 3dMarks05.

Xtreme g driver 84.12.
Done correctly with Driver Cleaner.

100 gigs 5400 rpm
2 gigs of ram
2.0 ghz processor.
1.2.0 3dmark05
Driver settings set on performance.

During testing I was 1600X1024
0 aa
optimal on Anisotrop
VS Profile 3_0
PS Profile 3_0

Any one have any ideas on how to get the score higher.

Cheers

I take it your not using the free version that we all use here which has a resolution of 1024x768. Try it at that resolution then post your mark!!

Man, you should use the defaulttest in order to compare with the other members.

Hey just ran 3dmark05 with the settings you suggested. New score is 7382. That is much better. Thanks for the comments.

Pardon for repeating, but it's funny seeing someone with such specific score. BTW.

coming back, you should be around 3900 with that card.

460/1300, IF that REALLY is stable, damn, which would be really awesome, 3900++ ^^.

Sounds good, consider overclocking, everybody over here has higher clocks!

So far I have been playing COD2 for over an hour at a time with temperatures running around 85 from the NVcontrol center. No crashes. No artifacts using ATI Tools. USing fan Gui to max out my fans with a usb fan suckig on the exhaust ports to help keep the temps down.
I also have AS5 applied.

So far I am quite happy with the performance. Was thinking of upgrading to 7K100 hard drive, think it would be worth it?

Not for 3dMark, but for general application performance, probably yes.

You shouldn't you'll only get faster load times, you could buy an external HD to expand your capacity.
