My suggestion would be to look on eBay. It's a lot cheaper than buying from dell.

I've been reading about some cards from ATI (FireMV). But I've been looking for reccomendations as well (so far nothing from the forum members though).

Nah Dell was having a special $300 off promotion on the 24" LCD when you bought an M90 (dunno if it is still going on), and they also sent me a coupon for my entire order, which brought the 24" LCD down to about $500 (I think it was $520 to be exact), when ordered with the M90.

How hot does the M90 get? Can you use it on your lap for long periods?

It gets a bit warm -- like any device which creates great order, but is still much cooler than the Inspiron 8500 I have. I have used it on my lap without a problem. I'm impressed by how quiet it runs.

It gets warm, but not hot. Although the 3945 card seems to be the hottest.
I will second the sentiment that this thing is quiet. It shocks me how quiet it is.
