I am selling my laptop for $1450 OBO.

P4 2.8 GHz 533 MHz FSB
1 GB RAM
Win XP pro
60 GB HDD
802.11b Wireless LAN
GeForce4 MX 440 Go 64 MB

The only problem is the CD-RW/ DVD drive hasn't been working for the past 2 weeks. I believe the problem may be a loose power connection to the drive because the bios won't recognize it, but I really don't know why it won't work.

I'm inclined to agree with fiction regarding cost - "~1200 if you're smart with your advertising with your notebook."

Here is a new system with similar specifications.

The system does not include Win XP Pro (approximately $160.00 shipped), and a Wireless Lan (approximately $75.00 shipped).

The 2.8MHz processor is non-Hyper Threading;

I'm don't know the difference in performance of a Hyper Threading and non-Hyper Threading processor of the same speed.

hyper theading ls like 2 processers at the same time which makes it fast :P

hyper threading makes multi tasking so much faster, other than that its the same, but yea the system reconginizes it as two processors

Very few applications at the present make full use of HT. I wish games used HT to split the Video from the sound/AI etc. - would be much faster...
