Rumor - D620 delayed 3 months due to Nvidia card? - Page 4

Good to know on the difference between the two cards on a technical level; I thought the biggest difference was dedicated RAM (nVidia) versus 100% moocher from the system (Intel). :-)

We don't do a lot/any gaming on these machines, so I'm not too worried about it. The most complex graphics we'll see are Excel charts and Bloomberg data.

What do you think the differences will be for watching DVDs would be for these two cards?

well, even the nvidia solution borrows some system ram, so you're not losing much there.

For watching dvds I think that there may be some additional smoothing and processing done by the nvidia solution over the intel solution, but unless you had the two next to each other, I doubt you'd notice (if you could even tell side by side anyway.)
For business applications (excluding 3d cad/cam, using monitors with resolutions higher than 1920x1200, and potentially an improved vista experience when there are a large number of windows open) there is no reason to use anything but the gma950.
