Acer TM8204 devices

post #1 of 8
Thread Starter
Does anyone know which software controls the OnScreen Display on the 8204? I did a clean rebuild and wanted to get this portion back. I'm refering to the green text on the center bottom of the display, when you enable wireless, change volume and so forth.

There are a couple devices that i haven't re-installed as yet. What is:
PCMCIA MTD-002?

Thanks and regards,

I think PCMCIA MTD-002 could be PCMCIA Mobile Telephone Device = VOIP phone.

It gets detected when you put it into the PCMCIA slot to charge, but there's no associated driver - windows is just being confused. You can ignore the exclamation point in the device manager.

I have an exclamation mark against "Intel(R) Active Management Technology - SOL (COM7)" in device manager.
Is this the same issue (I have never attempted to use the VOIP yet)?

Install the AMT driver:
AMT == Active Management Technology
