Dell is replacing my system due to a bad pixel in the display but I thought while I have this one I might as well do some testing. I purchased 2 Corsair 512MB 667 MHz modules from NewEgg for $98. So far they have passed the standard tests found in the Microsoft Memory Diagnostic tests and are currently running the extended tests (cache off...very very very slow).
I'm going to run the memtest86 afterwards and will give an update. So far it looks like these modules are fine for the E1505.
Once the tests are done I'm going to do a fresh install of XP and run all of the standard benchmarks. My plan is to kill the existing XP partition, re-create and install XP (and all latest Dell drivers), then install each benchmark, defrag with XP defrag, reboot, then run the tests.
I have the 1.83GHz proc, X1400, 100GB 7200 drive, and 1 GB 667 (dual channel).
