I've decided that he's Peter Molyneux. The card in the M90 is the same or better than nVidias top workstation card. On this logic alone, laptops are fine to use for porgramming.

We really need some benchmarks. The desktop version scored around 7800 in 3DMark05. Not bad...

not currently, but I got mine for gaming and it will do just that, and do it well. Just look at the FX 1400, once overclocked back to stock 6800 speed it performed great. This will be the same thing, you will be able to overclock it to the stock 7900 GTX core speed and then overclock past that for even better performance

For starters it wouldn't hurt to some benchmarks against the 7800 GTX to get a sense of how things are doing.

I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work. People have already reflashed their Go 7800 with a 7800GTX BIOS, so this shouldn't be any different.

As I mentioned before the desktop version of the FX2500 scored around 7800 in 3DMark05, so this might give a tiny hint.

The fx2500 is basically the 7900GTX, just with better quality components because they need it to be extremely accurate. They make the Quadro line for accuracy and quality, not all out performance. But they're basically the same card.
