LOL

Any offers??

I mean...come on!! Before I put this up on ebay

This notebook has served me very well since the day I first saw it. I love the screen and the keyboard. the keyboard is fantastic...

all the lines above were typed using my 8790 keyboard which is silky smooth and 100% transparent.

Games run beautifully on this system. Its like they run right through the notebook because when I carried this 0.0 gm notebook to EB games and tried placing a few games on it, they fell right through

Sager has to redesign and FAST because this is unacceptable

but not unacceptable to the extent that you should be scared of buying my laptop. The batteries last a LOOOONG time as far as i can remember. I turned the laptop on just before my "internal" lights went out last night and when they came back on again in the morning the laptop was still running and playing Max Payne full bore!!

Come on people...make your offers!!!

Can Adam confirm that you got this from him?

How do I know that I can trust you, Hmmmm? How do I know you're not TRICKING us?

Nice weight, though. I can't see PCT selling anymore 8890s if the 8790 weighs as little as you say...

$1600 is much to low, even for a year old 8790. My Best Offer is $1700, though I may go higher if you accept too quickly. Lemme think about it (for a year or so).

GS, did you go to work for Go-L? Maybe get to be manager of that new Brick n Mortar on the East Coast later on?

$1600.00 is the base price or starting bid on this fantastic laptop. The best thing about is that you dont need a case for it. No one can steal it because of its elusive nature. It floats around you and is always at hand with the popcorn and the porn

All in all excellent build quality. i tried to plug in my USB mouse sometime in the middle of last night and found that the laptop had automatically upgraded my mouse to bluetooth specs!!

And the FPS is somewhere around 400 with a score of 60,000 in 3D Mark 2001SE and a score of 20000 in 3D Mark 2003. I fiished HL2 retail version in under 3 hours using the hyperdrive and overdrive and hyperthreading for the GPU and CPU

I need more bids...more bids...

But dont bid unless you have are serious. I will post pics of the notebook in a few minutes!!

Your bid is a binding contract. Either you pay up or you die!!

Coming up - in-depth review of the 8790 with pics!!!

pics of the 8790

isnt she a beaut??

The packaging!!

Well packed as usual by Sager. They split the screen in two as you can see in the pics and you can join them with superglue at home. This makes the laptop ultra portable because you cal leave half the screen at home when you dont want it!!!

And no dead pixels!! WOOOT!!!

more pics...

The screen from all angles

angle 1

angle 2

angle 3

amazing clarity and the splitscreen feature is a first in notebook technology. You are right - this notebook is worth more than $2000.00 !!!

Its available only to senior citizens like myself. I won it in a lottery conducted by Aliemware (spelling intended to avoid legal action by Mr. Craig respected moderator on the Alienware forums) for the people suffering from excessive laptopious upgraditis

My lucky stars must have given up and gone home because I WON!!!

And now I have the amazing laptop which everyone else is waiting for. The Aliens have some kind of time travel system and they kindly arranged to run ahead a few months and get me this beaut. They also kindly agreed to give me this machine which has a button that takes you back 30 minutes each time you press it.

Needless to say I went back to the first time I got laid and kept pressing the button everytime I got towards the end

Phew...tired now...more on this review in a short while!!!

Yes, yes, all good and whatnot w/ the specs. But HL2? Anything can run that.

What I want to know is if Baldur's Gate and Centipede are supported. As long as they run on the system, Warcraft and WCII should play w/o artifacting too badly, IMO.

If those games don't run, well... I don't know that I could seriously consider buying this computer from you. I asked Tmo@PCT about it, but he said they're under NDA in regards to whether BGate & Centipede will play on the system (much less Galaga).

Sounds fishy to me!

Forgot to mention that I can play Pacman very well indeed - without any hiccoughs that plague most "modern" computer systems...

oh and BUMP - motivate the people waiting for the 8790 by making them read this bullsh!t. It will either strengthen their resolve or just phuking kill them
