Should I leave the fold?

Today Apple announced support for Windows XP on their Intel machines:

I believe that my next notebook will be a MacBook Pro So long Gateway, with your flickering screens, cracking hinges, staggering weight, and battery life that makes babies cry.





...which isn't to say I'll be getting rid of my 7405gx anytime soon

I've had my hands on one that I bought for my daughter for her graduation - very nice. And you'll probably like OSX, even if you mainly use XP. If this option had been available a month ago, I'd have bought one.

I've been on OS X for about three months now; I picked up an old G4 Cube to play around with last December. Been a real joy! I love OS X, but I'm still much faster with XP. Plus all of the software I've purchased in the last several years is for XP Oh well. I got my wife an iMac for her birthday last month and she loves it (I don't get to play on it too much though, sadly - her toy lol). My next project is modding a Mini into a crazy fast OS X/XP machine, so maybe after I'll get a MacBook Pro that. Hopefully the bugs will be worked out with the next major MBP revision. And maybe I'll have the $$$ by then to do it
