How long it takes to have a Hypersonic?

Hello,

I ordered an EX7 from Hypersonic on February 24, 2006. The shipment date was set to March 24, 2006. This is my first purchase from Hypersonic, and honestly the wait is torturing. My last laptop was a Sager 8790, and I guess I've been jaded into purchasing and quickly having my lappy a week later. I've read in several posts how it takes a long time with Hypersonic, but never read how much in deed, a month a month an a half, how long??? Anyways its been a month and a week and I'm begining to get frustrated. Every time I call , the woman that attends me allways has a ridiculous excuse, for instance, "Sometimes theres dust in the room and the paint has to be done again..." ???!?!?! I mean jesus!! anyways.. its supposed to ship any day now. So the question, how long did it took for you??? I'm from Puerto Rico so the shipment will be 5 days, so however long it takes for them to ship it plus 5 days!!!

Here is a quick configuration of my lappy:

Looks like a nice system. Congrats.

That said - for painted systems, the norm is about five weeks. If there is problems, then it can be longer, but the norm is about five.

It is my understanding that once the paint job is completed (which is the big delay), then they finalize the build and perform the tests prior to shipping. If you PM your order number to Pat@Hypersonic, he may be able to assist.

That all said - again, nice system. Makes me miss mine.

Thanks ratmyr,

Just checked my order status, pushed back to 4/7/2006. The email sent by the customer service representative says it will be shiped either the 7th or the 10th. So I say whatever! Im so exited about recieving the lappy im not exited anymore.

Anyhows, dude I read what happened to your EX7, a bummer man! I dont wish that on anyone!

Thanks for the comments. It does suck and I definitely enjoyed that system. But... alas all must move on and I have... for the most part.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your system when it arrives!
