Well I have an alienware, but after seeing all these lemons from alienware that people have been talking about recently, I dont really feel I may get another one. So im looking for a desktop around the price of 3000-3500 maybe a bit higher too, without the monitor. I have been thinking about velocity micro for a bit, any suggestions? yes I did search, I went about 30-40 pages back couldnt find anything about this

i assume youre talking about desktop?

Do yourself a favor, save 1k, and build it yourself. If not, go to monarchcomputer.com. Really nice stuff. (in their configuration unit if you dont want to build yourself)

And, oh, nice budget

build an computer with 2 7900 gtxs and a amd fx 60 or amd x2 4800 + you'll save yourself a ton of money. also you are going to waste 1 grand for tech support, if you know how to build a computer you can fix it

k ill consider it then but for all of you that build, do you use an antistatic wristband? And where do you place your motherboard, once you get it out of the box? And which case do you guys think are good? I was thinking a silverstone one since I have the money. Forget about the silverstone 200 bucks is a bit much, 100-150 is good! any suggestions?

im pretty sure I could! The only part thats hard is the mounting, of the mobo! The rest is fine

Look at the PC in my sig and then buy the parts and build it

Damn good bang for the buck. FX60 and X2 4800 are some of the most overpriced processors out there. My Opteron 165 is an FX60 when clocked at 2.6GHz.

It's for optimal cooling... though you can use 2 PSU's.

Did your first Alienware treat you well?

The stuff you rea din forums is the "SMALL" minute amount of people that find a place to bitch. You dont see the thousands and thousands of happy people posting their joy. Forums generally bring out the trolls and bitch fests.

Now that being said, i never EVER buya desktoip pre built from anyone. I build all my desktops personally. Only thing i buy is laptops because, well thats the only way to get a laptop.

yup. Long story short, build it yourself. The mobo just screws onto the side of the case, basically. Easiest part of the build.

ah is that what you guys thought i meant about the mobo? I meant like on an antistatic padding thing? Or in one of those antistatic things, or on the floor ontop of the box? Like any precuations! I know where to put it in the computer if not i wouldnt consider building a computer either. And can anyone recommend a good case, with a motherboard tray? Or any case you think its good just tell me!, cases are the hardest part
