i want to know is someone has flashed Geforce7800GTX bios on a Geforce7800Go videoCard??
Nope not possible, pipes are laser locked on the chip.
the e1705 bios sees the GTX so you don't need that i assume

If you're meaning the DDR3 comment, that's the videocard memory not system memory.

I actually downloaded a 7800GTX BIOS from the internet and flashed it on my 7800Go. It worked and the drivers changed from 7800Go to 7800GTX. I couldn't unlock the pipes because they are laser cut. If you tell me what I should check for memory performance instead I'll re-flash to the GTX BIOS, now that I know it works.

Check you Voltages, it may have given your card a Voltage bump.

no only mod 1.2

I would want to arrive to 1200 mhz with the ram
post #15 of 96
pbc is the liittle green board that all of the transistors and stuff are on. if you have a nice one, it can take more of a beating and let a lot of voltage etc run through it.
i'ts pcb, not pbc
Actually, it's a PCB (printed circuit board), not PBC. The PCB probably has little to do with it - memory vendors often have RAM that does not meet the specifications it was designed to, so they sell it as lower speed RAM at a lower cost. This is probably what is limiting the 7800Go RAM.

I can't get 1000Mhz on the RAM, only 950 and that's with some artifacting. I'm 415/930 stable with the 1.2v mod. The GTX BIOS didn't seem to make any difference.

Iried your solution, I flashed the bios but the id is different and is not accepted.
How have you done it ?
Did you try to clock the memory speed up to 1000 ?

I tried your solution non Iried your solution ....

You tried the "NVFLASH.EXE -4 -5 -6 7800GTX.ROM" already? Or was this post before the PM you sent? Anyway, I don't think my RAM will do 1000, but I wish it would.
