I don't know what you all have against Macs. They can do one thing that the Sager can't, run OSX. Trust me, that is huge. OSX is an amazing peice of software. I know it's possible to hack a copy to run if you want but few people are able or willing.
MacBook Pros can now also run Windows legitimately. They only have an X1600 but the ATi X1000 series cards are much better for watching video or any kind of video work than any current NVidia card.
I love my 5720 and highly recommend it but everyone has different needs. I guess I'm just turned off by fanboyism.
BTW, my wife uses an older Powerbook. It gets seven hours easy on the battery with the screen at full bright and no tweaking running OSX. It always works, never gets infected, never needs any significant maintenance. My kids use it, beat on it, abuse it, it's a durable, well built, high quality piece of hardware that was well worth the purchase price when I bought it new.
I'm seriously considering getting one of these new MacBook Pros as a second laptop except that the old one just keeps on going and doesn't really need replacing.
Oh yes, gaming. I just spent the last couple days at the Palm Beach Marriott and played UT2k4 and BF2 for several hours the first night on a relatively lag free connection. I caved and went out in Ft. Lauderdale the second night (I'm not a complete dweeb), but it's a great way to take your hobby on the road and well worth the money!
