5205-s119 no longer available?

Hrm, well, I was looking at getting either the Sager 5680 or the Toshiba 5205-s119. After reading a lot about the s119, I wanted to price it on Toshiba's page. But erm... Looks like it's gone missing now.
I know I saw it few days ago. It came up on the main Sat Notebook page, but when you try to get more info, brings you back to another sat menu with no s119.

Any other places to get the s119 without paying over 1500 for it?

I just tried to find it and noticed it also. When you click on the picture or link to the S119, you're brought to a page that displays all the current Satellite models...how strange. I think Toshiba is readying up their new line of laptops...

Hrm, well, I wonder if I should play the waiting game again...
Got another week before I get my loan for my lappy...
And I really like the Sager, but the s119 is nice and great price.

I just saw it

But no longer on Toshiba site.. you have to go through a third-party.. Try plasmaguys but hurry! I feel Toshiba is not going to offer them anymore..

They won't be offered again. It was a limited run most likely to part out:

1. That chassis.
2. The 2.2 P4-M chips
3. The Geforce 5600's.

Called up Toshiba. They have discontinued the S119 model for sure. The stock would be replenished only for orders already placed. Really wierd... discontinuing a model that too with a very good price!!!

Too bad, I think I would have gotten that instead of the Sager... oh well.

For what it's worht...Newegg has a sale on a few Sony GRT-100's in the high 1300's.

Specs on those are almost IDENTICAL. THe only difference is that in lieu of the CASV, it uses a 16" WUXGA screen (a BEAUTIFUL screen as well). Likewise it doens't have the Yamaha sound but other than that they're the same. If you guys are seriously interested in the Toshiba you should really consider these Sony's as they were on the market for over 2 grand 4-5 months ago. Btw, reaffirms my assertion that the baseline 2.2 p4m's and Geforce 5600's are on the way out...

Guys, what is the big surprise here??!!!

Toshiba said it very clearly, didn't they? Limited quantities.

And we all know the P4-M and geforce 5600 FX Go are on the way out. I just don't understand what's the big surprise about all this. This is why the S119 was so competitively priced, and imho, a good deal.

The 5700 FX go Toshiba's are coming.

And so is a price increase :-)

New Toshiba?

What is the 5700 FX and when do you think it's coming?

I'm looking for something very powerful (capable of 2GB RAM) with a large UXGA CASV screen... and I hear horror stories about Sony.

for some reason, Sony laptops tend to be expensive and have older technologies in them, despite their awesome X-brite screens... The 5700FX go is the newest mobile chip from Nvidia that should handle DX 9 games better + it has some other improvements over the older 5600s series. Visit this site to see the improvements side by side...http://www.nvidia.com/page/fx_mobile.html The 5700 was announced a while back, so I estimate it should be available within the coming 1-3 months max to combat ATI's new M11 chip.

@Eju

I would say Feb/March Toshiba should have a new line with it. I am afraid Toshiba may abandon CASV displays.. I HOPE NOT! :-)

@Hikki

I sincerely doubt the 5700 will even catch up to the 9600 M10 in something like Halflife 2. The performance of the 5700 over the 5600 increase-wise I think I read it was about 50% but in Halflife 2 the 9600 M10 was outclassing the 5600 so bad, the 5700 won't be able to catch up.

Still it will definitively run a lot of stuff fast.
