I am curious as to what the wattages are between those two GPU's and how much upgrading from the 6800Go to the 7800GTX would lower battery life in a Dell 9300. Thanks all!

I would assume at full wattage that the battery life would be half.
To explain a bit more. I need a long battery life (3+ hours while in 2D mode for watching movies on a plane). Im not worried about the power consumption while in 3d mode.

The new cards were designed to the same TDPs as 6800 series cards to allow manufacturers to swap old cards to new ones without having to upgrade cooling systems or to change thermal design otherwise.
