Any Fan Controllers for I6000's

Does anyone know if there’s a fan controller for the Inspiron 6000 laptop? I tried the fangui program, but unfortunately, it looks like this site is not being updated anymore. I keep getting multiple error messages that say it cannot control 2nd fan (b/c the I6000 only has 1 fan). Other than that, it’s a great program and shows all the temperatures in your PC (CPU, video card, northbridge, RAM, etc.) There was supposed to be an update coming out, and was in beta testing to fix it. I and a few other people signed up to be beta testers, but were never responded to. Hopefully the guy(s) will get back online and finish the update b/c the program is really cool and useful.

Does anyone know if there’s a program like fangui, that will work with the I6000?

that program works fine. you have to go into the options and tell it not to read from fan two, as there is none!

you should search this forum, there are many threads about i9kfanfui.

Yeah, that option is there and I have checked and un-checked it numerous times. It has not worked. Like I was saying, this issue is addressed on their website and it says the update is coming soon and will fix it. But the new Beta version has it, however my request to be a beta tester was never OK'd and neither was anyone else's after me.

are you using a profile? if you are, you have to set it a certain way.

example profile below.

the profile will do what its told, so i think thats your problem right there.

loook here, this is what it should be set up like. i had this problem also, it has todo with the GPU controls on the right column.

As long as you make the right settings like chevyrulez099 said, i8kfangui works with an i6000.
