Can I use a PC external keyboard?

I'm getting a Macbook Pro and want to use an external USB keyboard. Will the MBP recognise a PC keyboard? Or do I need an Apple/Kensington keyboard with the command key?

It will recognize it.

Use the Windows key for the command key.

The windows key and Command (apple key) are mapped the same by the operating systems.

i saw on dl.tv today that you have to use an external keyboard for the '3 fingure salute' (though they are working on it) since DEL key is mapped to 'backspace' rather than 'del'

there also isnt a way to right click w/out an external mouse in windows on bootcamp

Are there any MacOS hacks that will let me swap the ALT and Windows keys on a PC keyboard? On Windows, the bottom left keys are Control-Windows-Alt, but on Mac they are Control-Alt-Command.

Try a new keymap. Google it. Or just swap the keys- lever them up, and push them down.

Haha!

That's just funny. Getting the Mac ready and in shape for the lock-ups already anticipated on the Windows OS.
