Tablet PCs for artists?

I'm thinking of getting a tablet pc for drawing. Any suggestions as far as which ones are best for doing sketches and drawings?

Why not just get a wacom tablet on your desktop/notebook?

Honestly I hate tablets, my brother has one and I just cant use it.. I need to see what im drawing under my pen, if not I just end up doing random happyfaces and dumb stuff.

Edit : I mean what Filippo is talkin about.

Tablet PCs while useful for writing down stuff or kind of helpful for quick drawing do not offer much precision when drawing or doing high precision graphics editing as the pressure points on the screen are larger than the pixels themselves and therefore are not pixel accurate.

If you need to draw in high resolution you will have to go either with the good ol' mouse or get a drawing tablet.

I think that it just takes some getting used time, my father does a lot of graphics work on his wacom tablet and he didn't like it in the beggining, but now he's used to draw while looking to the screen..

and as moidock said, tablet pcs just dont have the precision needed for serious artists..

yeah, you will really be better off getting an addon tablet thing for drawing. Talbets really aren't professional spec, but the wacom addon ones are specificsly made for people like you.

wacom does a screen with a tablet interface- very pricey though.
