Anyone with a decent 6000/6400 LCD screen?

Wanted to find out if there are any decent 6000/6400 LCD screens and if so what makes and when. Or are all 6000 screens horrible and worth avoiding.

Here is my original 6000D 15.4" WXGA, unknown make (Default Monitor (3x)) ordered Jan 2006 in the UK:

I complained about the brightness at the bottom of the screen, after some difficulty in getting a response the tech support manager agreed there was a problem and so got it picked up in April. 2 days later I got the laptop back with a replacement LCD. The included note said actual fault was dark corners on the bottom of the screen and now passed quality inspection. Also states and I quote "please be advised that lcd on all 6000 are slightly bright".

Haven't a photo of the replacement screen yet and while it might be slightly better it's still bright at the bottom compared to the top. Sitting back away from the laptop helps when watching DVDs. The 6000D with it's 15.4" widescreen and media center was purchased as a multimedia laptop suitable for playing DVDs. If it wasn't bad enough that I got ignored by Dell for over 45 days before something was done (they blamed an email system issue), I still feel disappointed by my purchase. I cannot recommend Dell if this is their idea of midrange quality.

90% of Samsung WSXGA+ & WXGA+ screen blow donkey ass balls.

You have 2 choices:

1) Somehow get an LG WSXGA+
2) Upgrade to an WUXGA+. I always thought the resolution was too high. NO WAY! I will *NEVER* go back to a lower res.

Samsung WUXGA's are horrible too, trust me. Samsung is just a HORRIBLE LCD manufacturer.
