Good enough hard drive speed for my applications?

I have a I5150 on the way with P4 3.06HT processor, 768 Memory, and 60GB 4200 RPM HD.

Do you think that the 4200 RPM will slow my system down for normal processes (loading programs, booting, etc.) and for music applications? I won't be doing a video editing, but I want the fastest machine possible. I was thinking about upgrading to the 7200 RPM. Do you think it would be worth the trouble, in all honesty? Thanks!

Definetly. On top of that consider bolstering your ram to at least 1GB anything beyond that is optional.

Thanks. I think I may go ahead with the upgrades since I plan to keep this computer for a long time and want the best possible set up.

Oh totally forgot to mention consider an exernal sound card like the SoundBlaster Audigy 2 USB or the Sound Blaster Extigy both excellent and vastly superior than the internal Sigmatel Audio card Dell uses

Well Machina, I took your advice and ordered a new system (in sig) and will return the other. Surprisingly in changing a few options, the price didn't go up much. Now I feel like I'm getting the ideal system and I can rest happily.

I'll check into those sound cards too.
