Sentia 223 & BIOS upgrade?

Thread Starter
I have a Sentia 223 which remains the BEST laptop I've ever had. I went through the wireless problems that several Sentia owners have discussed in this forum, but my Sentia is now running an Atheros card very nicely ... thanks to this forum!

Now I am trying to make sense of the Alienware drivers and downloads section on their Web site. The only Sentia 223 download listed is for the cinema software. The Sentia 223 isn't listed anywhere else on the drivers and downloads page that I can access.

I am running version 1.09 of the BIOS ... should this be updated? Are any other Sentia 223 updates available on Alienware's site?

I dont have the 223, but am fairly confident that your just not finding the proper pages, call AW have them help u find ur stuff. But after you find it, the bios is the only thing you want- use the rest of the AW drivers to find the newest manufactureers drivers and use those!

the "hive my personal support area" should have a link that takes you to your original order. Once there, you will see that your "sentia223 blah blah..." is an underlined hyperlink and if you click it, it will list all the availabe downloads.

Don't have timme to find it for you at the moment, butRiggs got it right.

Although unless you've having problems, there's really no need to upgrade.

Okay then, under support go to myhive, click on your order, and then on the computer, and you'll run across the following:

Remember too that the OEM released bios's that AW sometimes never supported

The big difference is the AW logo at bootup
