Ordering a 9750 tomorrow! Suggestions? - Page 2

Thanks a lot for the advice.
I had ordered the unbuntu software several weeks ago, I still haven't received them. But, I heard it takes a while. I may have to get it somewhere online.
I will probably try a couple different ones to see which I like best.
I will deffinitely keep you posted!

Well, I was doing some searching and found this website which should help a lot.
It is linuxtracker.org.
Here i was able to download the Gentoo cd image, and it was a very fast download.
They also had Suse, Unbuntu and some others... I will have to try them all out lol.....

Edit: I am currently downloading the Gentoo Livecd-i686-2006.0.iso.
I didn't see anywhere whether this is 64 bit or not, but from what I can tell
Gentoo is only 64bit?
I can't really do much with it anyway atleast until I get the 9750
Just going to read up on it and get ready.

Well, oddly enough I got the warranty number in an email today... I am guessing for the 9750, even though it hasn't shipped yet.
I think it is odd because it was literally like 2 months after I received my 5720 before I got its warranty number.

Oh well, soon... oh soon we will have it !

Yup me too

Its good that they are on it like that but....

I sincerely hope the clock isn’t ticking on this warranty yet, seeing how Sager hasn’t even built my system yet. (my order has been in since the 31st)

That would be like over two weeks of warranty lost by the time I actually get the darn thing.

Not good.

Gentoo is only 64bit?
Gentoo has both 32 & 64 bit versions. And, actually, that is their 32bit LiveCD w/Installer that you downloaded.

That same site also has the 64bit stuff here. But there is no 64bit version of the LiveCD yet.
