Inspiron 8600 keyboard

Several people have noted some flex in the left side of their keyboards. My keyboard is rock-solid on the left. It's the right side, especially above the DVD drive section, where my keyboard has some noticeable flex. I don't know if that's a defect or not. Any similar experiences out there?

I am actually starting to think that the keyboard is supposed to do this, now that I have messed around with it more it seems that both sides have a little flex but the left side has just a little more, maybe its just way to early and im still asleep.

theres a gap that was intentionally put on the right side of th ekeyboard so air can circulate the solution is if you pulled the keyboard off you noticed small pieces of cushions scattered under the board to best try and stop the flexing. but it shoudlnt exist of the left side you might have a defective keyboard or just needs to be reseated.

Interesting info, D-M. At least I now know that my keyboard isn't defective. Thanks!

Its not a really big deal, it drops maybe a 16th of an inch right in the middle of the keyboard where the S is. I would really need to compare it to another 8600 and see if theirs does the same thing.
