I had no idea the M170 had dropped so much. It really is a steal right now. Found these posts on another message board dated 10/24/05:

Just ordered mine cost me right around $2500 including tax and freight.

2ghz Pentium M
Windows XP Home (I will ask Dell for a copy of MCE after the system arrives)
2gig ram
100gig 5200 HD
7800 GTX video
DVD RW WiFi card etc....

I got mine for like $2600 without the warenty and TV Tuner with the 30% off.

XPS M170, Pentium M 760 (2GHz/533MHz FSB) $2,600.49
17in True Life Wide Screen UXGA

Yea, I know I am crazy. I could not resist. I just ordered one yesterday with just a 2 Ghz PM, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB HD, 7800GTX, 8X DVD recorder, true life UXGA, Blue Tooth, and the extra power supply. Price? $1,452.00
Now I will have to move the 2 GB DDR2 from the 9300 into it, move the 100 GB 7200 RPM drive over (hope it's still P-ATA in the m170, or I am stuck with a 5400 RPM 120 GB for a while). Was thinking of moving the 2.13 Ghz PM from the 9300, and putting it into the M170 and put the 2 Ghz one in the 9300, then sell the 9300. ..or a Pin Mod 1.8 @ 2.4 Ghz (if do-able).

So, the $350 off expires on the 12th, correct?

Jordan1 is right - you can no longer get this deal.

While you can technically still get $350 off, it's on a much more "pimped" model, including a longer warranty, making it much more expensive.

So the super-cheap M170 is gone.
