Anyone got a D620/D820 that is past the pre-production?

I've been checking my order daily and it seems like Dell has not really started production of the D620 or D820's?

My D820 has been in pre-production so long, I'm starting to wonder if they have some issues with it. Should I be expecting a call from Dell in the near future saying, "Would you like to switch to the D800 due some unavoidable delays in the production of your D820?". Then they will lose me as a customer for ever!

I can't believer we are 3.5 months out from the announcement that I first heard about and they still aren't producing/shipping!

I ordered a D820 on the first day that they were available (3.29), and mine went into production on Thursday the 6th, and it has been in "Boxing" for 2 or 3 days, I expect it will ship tomorrow or Wednesday

Mine was "In Production" when it was cancelled. I'm actually pretty happy about it now. I got my discounted D820 and I called up today to get more info on the D620 and say I might want to cancel my D820 to wait for it to come out with graphics....well just to shut me up they threw in a free printer and wireless mouse to keep it and get me off the phone lol. I love dell.

Mine is still in production and has not been cancelled (yet)...

Just wanted to mention that my D620 ordered on 4/6 went into production (Kitting) today 4/12. This is an integrated video setup, and not an nVidia gpu version.

My Dell account manager says to expect about a 2-3 week delivery time on the 620 and 820... thats a long time for me to wait for me new lapdog

Neo_vr, don't feel bad, it's about a 5+ week wait on the M90's

I think the 2-3 week time frame they gave you is optimistic and assuming you don't order the Nvidia card.

My d620 appears to be in boxing right now.

Two of the D620's I ordered just shipped. They both have the integrated card. The one D620 that I ordered with the NVIDIA video card is still "In Production" and my Dell rep says there is still a delay. Unfortunately he hasn't provided me with any details as to what is causing the delay.

Mine has the integrated graphics as well...

I think everyone that has the Nvidia card is stuck in build without advancing to kitting because of something that is missing... any guesses as to what?

Build stage is after Kitting. The next stage is Testing.

Kitting is the first stage in the build cycle. Kitting is when they allocate the components to the system in preparation for assembly (build).

Well hopefully I'll get the lappy eventually lol. I'm sure if I cancel and switch to D820, it will take just as long.

Probably longer!

All I know is that if it doesn't move in the next week, I'll be cancelling and waiting for them to get the bugs out.
