On my 5720 the time on the orange analog clock is displayed in military time, is there a way to change it?

Living in Japan got me used to military time. There we write the time in military time mostly and then still pronounce it as the regular number -

So, a bus stop schedule would say 15:00, and I would say three o clock (三時) in japanese.

quite interesting eh?

well we germans say that too but these 24 scheme doesn't bother us.

23:00 is 11 o' clock but we also say 'meet me there at 23 o'clock' (translated from german)

It is like that on most of the world, I guess.

This AM-PM thing that americans have must be categorized together with using F instead of C, Feet/inch/yards instead of the metric system: some other oddities that only a few countries still use...

Why do you call it "military time?" I've heard that before but the 24 hour time format is used in many places other than the military including my business. It's simpler IMO once you get used to it. Probably why the armed forces use it in the first place. ;-)

Working at Fort Meade got me used to 24hour scale.

have any of you actualy memorised it? I still have to use the "subtract 12 " trick to know what it means. (I live in spain where they write in military time and then say it hoever they feel like.)

I have it pretty much memorized... especially now after looking at my sager for the time all the time.

I'm from Europe originally and it comes easy to me. I actually prefer military time just because more people will know what your talking about in other parts of the world.

Ante Meridian goes from Midnight to Noon and Post Meridian goes from Noon to Midnight
Excellent info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12-hour_clock

So is mine but it doesn't work. Goes all screwy like displaying 44:10 for 4:10 etc. It seems it just always displays some random number in the first digit when it should display nothing or 0 until 10, 11, and 12 o'clock.

There is an option in my Bios to change to 12 hour mode but to be perfectly honest I like Military time better cause I game so much in a dark room I can never tell if its day or night lol
