Hey, I forgot to apply the 2% off DPA discount as well and emailed support yesterday, and got a reply today saying that he sent in a request to credit $30 back to my account. Dell isn't so bad I guess. Even though when I chatted with them about mine being in boxing for 2+ days, the guy I was talking with wouldn't offer me any type of discount. But, I didn't specifically ask for anything to be given to me, just hoped they would offer like some of the other people said they did for them.

Well mine shipped out this friday, i ordered it on sunday the 9th. will be 3-5 days till i get it since i opted for the free shipping method. still can't wait to get it.

well i inquired about my light leakage and described it and the guy said it was a faulty LCD so now they are sending me a new computer!wahey! all i did was ask next thing i know they are sending me a new machine!

I just got mine a few minutes ago (ordered Saturday) and have light leakage as well. I don't really notice it much and, like yours, it's only about half an inch. To be honest, I don't want to be without it and wait for them to send me a new one... If it weren't for these forums, I wouldn't have noticed it at all.

I'm really impressed with this baby the 5 minutes I've had it on. I'm off to install Oblivion and my Total War games!

You don't have to do with out!!! they send you the new one then once you have recieved the new one you can send the old one back! which is nice hence i am not that bothered cause its not a massive inconvience! Havn't got a whole lot loaded onto my comp yet!

Hmmm...I might just do that. I'm going to give it a few days though. I'm lazy and am not sure if it's worth redownloading everything onto the new one since it is minor...I'll sleep on it.

One thing though...the monitor really hurts my eyes. I've been looking at it 45 min. now installing programs and I had to go back to my desktop bc my eyes couldn't stand it anymore. It's a beautiful screen (except for the minor light leakage), I'm just thinking my eyes are not used to such high resolution (1920x1600 vs. 1280x1024 on my desktop).
