Did you forget the part numbers? Oh, I like the picture tutorial but would be better if all pics was zipped into one download. Just a suggestion.

Thanks,

Maybe a Powerpoint show? If you want I have already made one using the pics, I can send it to you. Easier to view that way

sent and sent back because its too large for Yahoo mail. It's 3 mb.
You can add me to either MSN or Yahoo and I'll FTransfer it or a local ISP email with a larger email account.

upgrade 8500/8600

the 8500/8600 will not be able to upgrade to the radeon 9700/9800 since the form factors are completely different.

Do you know of any future rumors regarding the 5150 line of desktops? They are being discontinued, i know that, but what lies in store for that line?

is there a tutorial for completely taking apart the 8600 laptop so that all you have left is the bottom chassis?
I'll be doing the lighted badge mod which will need me to have access to the usb port pins, and I'm gathering information on how to do a professionally looking paintjob.

pics of this mod already done
custom badges are made by heath, there is a thread about his badges in teh sager forum.

the final product looks like this

but with my 8600 (when it comes in) i am taking a D800 aluminum lcd cover and replacing the 8600 lcd cover and getting either a biohazard, halflife, or a quake badge.

Now, THAT is just too cool!!!! I'd love to do that, but I'd most certainly end up frying my 8600 to a crisp if I tried. But, I'm oozing with envy!!!

TrueMobile 1300 in my 8200???

I have an 8200 and the linksys pc card for it (installed a system for the house), but my laptop has the opening in the bottom for the internal card. Can I install the 1300 in it?
Thanks
Ben
