Issue with 10-in 1 card reader

I purchased a D900k back in january and everything has been goin smooth, until a few days ago i realized that all of my 10-in 1 card reader removeable drives except drive E: were not showing up in My Computer. Now there have been random occurances that my drives didnt show up before, but that was remedied by a quick reboot. this time was different . i thought maybe i could use System Restore to fix it, that didnt work. tried loadin all my factory drivers, even reinstalled windows, but nothing has worked. if anyone can help me it would be much appriciated. i know that i could go staight out to walmart and pick up a usb card reader and be fine, but just knowing that part of this $3,500 laptop is not working, drives me insain, i gotta fix it!

???

The card reader/writer has 4 slots, 4 drives. Look them up in device manager, they should appear under "storage volumes" "Generic Volume". Are there any conflicts or maybe they are disabled ?? Maybe there is a problem with device letters. Look up the drives under administration/storage/disk management any maybe assign new drive letters.

The reader/writer shouldn´t be deactivated in BIOS or otherwise since at least one drive is showing up. Otherwise look up your BIOS settings and also the card reader LED.

The manual states that if you reload Windows you should turn the Card Reader off in the bios. I would rebuild one more time with it off and then turn it on after drivers are loaded up.

Hi,

Did you ever solve this? I'm having the exact same problem...

Thanks
