it has nothing to do with cost. It is a time issue.

If you want a perfect product, you take a risk. Then you just battle Dell for what you were supposed to get. The longer the time you spend, the more success you will have.

Just got home and finally had a chance to play with my new e1505 and I'm quite happy with my true life wsxga+ screen.

It seems plenty bright enough, has no dead/stuck pixels and light leakage is minor. There are small dark spots at the bottom corners of the LCD, but even these are small and barely noticeable. All in all I'm very happy.

Try massaging the corners of the screen like you would for a stuck pixel, that helped the dark corners on my screen. There is only a tiny shadow left on the right bottom corner now, and that might even be my imagination. The little bit of light leakage you have will slowly get better also, as my screen had a little when I first got it and now it's completely gone. Other than that the WSXGA+ screen is absolutely gorgeous, the only thing I'd really like to do is get one of those color correction thingies that you put on the screen to adjust the colors. I tried doing it myself and it's a little better, but I know it would be alot better with some help.
