I have been reading lots of informative posts on this site for a while as I been planning a laptop purchase for my wife's business. The $400 off coupon finally convinced me to pull the trigger on a D820 yesterday (about $1500 before tax, configured perfectly for our needs, shipped free). I actually called Dell and spoke to a small business sales rep to make the order (and to see if they would sweeten the deal a little over the Web price). The rep could not give me a better deal, so I asked if he could give me a complimentary shipping upgrade to 2-day or next day as we need the machine ASAP. He said no, but promised to ask his supervisor to expedite my order and "put it in the front of the line". It sounded like a typical line of sales-BS to me, but I had decided to order the machine and my wife had given me the green light. I figured I may as well order it before she changes her mind and tries to save a few bucks by going with an Inspiron. Well, I just checked the status of the order online and the estimated ship date is April 28th, but the site indicates that the "Kitting" and "Build" phases are complete and the machine is now in "Testing"! Awesome! Apparently Dell is finally cranking out these machines.
If anyone is interested in my configuration (I mean my wife's configuration) I would be happy to post it.

Those Dell folks are even working on Easter! Just a couple more days and it will be mine!
